FAQs

Why was Emergent Health Partners formed?

The data collected in a two-year study of the changes and trends in national healthcare policy indicated that successful ambulance services would need to build closer relationships with hospitals and with new, physician-directed accountable care organizations.

The creation of Emergent Health Partners enables the organization and its affiliated ambulance services to grow more effectively in the future. It also positions us to more efficiently integrate into health care changes which are coming in the future.

Who owns Emergent Health Partners and how is it governed?

Emergent Health Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees made up of community leaders. Emergent Health operates in the community's interest and the Board represents the community in setting policies and approving budgets. Should Emergent Health Partners ever discontinue operations, the assets of our organization must be donated to another nonprofit charitable organization or to local or county government.
