Student Engagement Program

Students interested in healthcare, emergency medicine, or public service have the opportunity to connect with Emergency Medical Services professionals through our Student Engagement Program.

Emergent Health Partners’ Student Engagement Program is tailored toward students interested in healthcare, emergency medicine, or public service careers. We offer these students the opportunity to meet Emergency Medical Services professionals and learn a little bit about working in EMS. Since launching this program, we have been able to connect with thousands of high school students from across the state to showcase the life-saving work EMTs and Paramedics perform.

We believe that EMS is a meaningful and fulfilling career and is an excellent opportunity for students who enjoy working with people and want to make a difference in their community. It is also a popular option for those looking to gain hands-on patient experience before moving on to RN, PA, or Medical School.
Through in-class presentations, career fairs, and tours of our headquarters, we introduce students to the world of EMS and highlight how it can benefit their future goals. We are happy to arrange in in-class presentation for your students or have you visit us at our headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI.

Field trips to our headquarters include:

  • Information about working in EMS and how it can benefit future goals
  • Tours of our ambulances and 9-1-1 Dispatch Center
  • Equipment demonstrations, including intubation practice
  • Demonstrations of our virtual driver’s training simulator

If you are a teacher, administrator, or parent and would like more information about our Student Engagement Program contact our program coordinator.
