LCA was founded in 1995 when Washtenaw County’s Huron Valley Ambulance was invited to provide EMS coverage for the communities of Tecumseh and Clinton. We began with one station located near what was then Herrick Memorial Hospital. Over a decade we grew our coverage, allowing us to provide high-quality pre-hospital care to more citizens of Lenawee County.
In 2012 our Board of Trustees created Emergent Health Partners, which owns and operates LCA as well as five other ambulance services throughout southern Michigan. Altogether Emergent Health’s EMS agencies serve over 1 million Michigan residents.
