James Desentz is a dedicated Critical Care Paramedic with over nine years of service in emergency medical services. James joined the Huron Valley Ambulance team in 2016, serving as a dedicated field paramedic. After several years of service he began training for his critical care paramedic certification, putting his years of experience to use to treat challenging and complex patients.

James is known for his extraordinary commitment to patient care, his career is a testament to compassion, clinical excellence, and an unwavering dedication to saving lives under the most challenging circumstances. His expertise in critical care transport, particularly in high-stakes inter-facility transfers, has made him a cornerstone of his team.

Beyond his clinical skill, James is an excellent mentor, guiding new EMTs and paramedics with patience and insight. His ability to remain composed under pressure, combined with his compassion for teaching, makes him an excellent resource for new employees and has shaped countless EMS careers.

In his free time, James can be found spending time with family and enjoys hunting, archery, woodworking, and traveling.
