Senior Paramedic and Community Paramedic, Jackson Community Ambulance
Jennifer Belknap has many years of dedicated service with Jackson Community Ambulance, beginning her career in 2008. During her career she has held several roles including paramedic, Field Training Officer, and most recently has taken on an additional role of Community Paramedic. Achieving a Community Paramedic certification highlights Jennifer’s dedication to EMS, her community, and the well-being of her patients. Jennifer credits her mother and brother – both previous EMS providers, as her inspiration for pursuing a career in out-of-hospital medicine and instilling her strong work ethic.
Each day Jennifer arrives at work with a positive attitude. She’s known as a strong leader and a source of support for her coworkers. Jennifer is an excellent mentor for new EMTs, offering training, guidance, and a wealth of EMS knowledge. Jennifer’s patience and kindness account for her excellence both as a mentor and as an EMS practitioner. The compassion and empathy she has for everyone she encounters makes her a truly invaluable asset to JCA.
When not at work, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband of 15 years and her two daughters. When Jennifer is not on the basketball court coaching her daughter’s team, her free time is often spent making memories on the lake, casting a line while fishing, exploring new places through travel, or camping under the stars.
Jennifer, we are very proud to have you on the JCA team. Your excellence as an EMS provider shines through in all you do. Your passion and dedication make an invaluable impact on our organization and we’re thankful for all of your contributions. Congratulations on being named Star of Life!
