Julia Knipp has been part of the Huron Valley Ambulance team since 2021. She began her career with us as an EMT before earning her paramedic license in 2024 and being promoted to Senior Paramedic shortly after. Always dedicated to learning and developing her skills, Julia is looking forward to earning her critical care certification and has long-term plans to become a flight medic. 

Julia is known for going above and beyond for both her coworkers and her patients. She is always looking for ways to improve herself both personally and professionally, and motivates her coworkers to strive for the same. Julia is a strong mentor and excels at training newer employees and students. She goes beyond explaining protocols and procedures, ensuring new providers understand the “why” behind how things are done, equipping them to deliver the best patient care.

As a provider, Julia is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure every call is handled in the best way possible. As a local who grew up in Washtenaw County, she says she feels inclined to give back and take care of her own community. Her outside-the-box thinking allows her to solve problems and challenges that come her way and achieve the best outcomes in complex situations. Julia prides herself on doing the best for all of her patients and treats them with care and compassion.

When off-duty, Julia enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hunting, fishing, or spending time around a bonfire with friends. Julia also enjoys photography and line dancing, and is dedicated to weight training.
