Tim Driver has 14 years of dedicated experience as a paramedic with Huron Valley Ambulance, beginning his career with us in 2011 shortly after receiving his paramedic license. Throughout his career, he has been promoted to Senior Paramedic and Field Training Officer, and most recently, he completed his Community Paramedic certification, serving as an interim Community Paramedic at HVA. Tim is well-respected by his peers, patients, and healthcare partners. He’s extremely knowledgeable on company policies and county protocols. He is very self-sufficient and can always be counted on to not only fulfill his daily expectations, but to go above and beyond for the greater good.

Tim is known for his excellence in EMS and excels in the different roles he has held. His patient care is incredibly thorough, and he has a good sense of when patient issues need to be addressed on a deeper level and does not default to the path of least resistance. Tim has a straightforward and respectful approach with patients, earning the trust of even difficult patients in order to treat them appropriately.

Tim is well-known at HVA as a mentor and is sought-after by students and newer EMTs and paramedics. He takes his role as mentor very seriously and provides a one-of-a-kind experience for anyone willing to learn. Tim requires his trainees to think for themselves. He gives students opportunities to practice and showcase their abilities in real medical emergencies with feedback and briefings before, during, and after the call to create a great hands-on learning experience. His mentorship has directly contributed to the knowledge and skillset many of our EMTs and paramedics possess today.

Outside of work, Tim loves having a good time with friends and spending time with family, especially his son. He enjoys time in the great outdoors on the water or hiking and loves attending sporting events.
