HVA EMS Education is the industry leader in the state of Michigan.
Since 1981, we have educated students in the art and science of pre-hospital emergency care. Our Paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services (CoAEMSP). As a nationally accredited industry leader, we meet student needs with a comprehensive classroom approach, interactive laboratory experience and clinical internships.
The Huron Valley Ambulance Paramedic accredited program is part of a consortium with St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, the University of Michigan Board of Regents and the Washtenaw/Livingston Medical Control Authority, which collectively serve as the consortium sponsor for the HVA Paramedic program.

Please read before registering — Important Info about Tuition and Fees
All tuition and fees are due upon registration. All registrations need to be submitted online through one of the “Registration” links on the HVA EMS Education website which is connected to Eventbrite. Acceptance is on a first come, first enrolled basis! Students who do not have a credit card to register online must register and pay in person at HVA EMS Education, 1200 State Circle, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The deadline to register for any program is TWO WEEKS prior to class (no exceptions!) providing spaces are available.
NOTE: HVA EMS Education retains the right to deny any application for any reason. If we deny your application before the first day of class, all paid tuition and fees will be refunded. There are NO REFUNDS for course supplies, including textbooks, uniforms, required equipment, or costs for background checks and drug screens.
All tuition fees shall be refunded if requested in writing within three (3) business days after registering for any HVA course.
If a student withdraws or is dismissed from the program for any reason AFTER the 3 business days following registration, they are responsible for payment as follows:
1. Students who withdraw two weeks prior to the start of any HVA EMS Education course will receive a full refund of the course tuition, minus a $25 administration fee. The student must notify HVA EMS Education in writing at the above address.
2. Students who do not give at least two weeks notice in writing, or who do not withdraw before the start of the second (2nd) week of any HVA EMS Education course, will receive only 25% of the total course tuition.
3. Students who do not withdraw before the start of the third (3rd) week of any HVA EMS Education course, will receive NO refund.
All refunds are returned within 30 days.
NOTE: HVA EMS Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses up to and including the start date due to low enrollment.
