Training Michigan's EMS Providers for Over 35 Years
The HVA Center for EMS Education is sponsored by Huron Valley Ambulance, a licensed Emergency Medical Services provider. Huron Valley Ambulance is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).
Our EMS education programs offer students hands-on experience and prepare them to serve as confident and skilled EMS providers.
EMT Work-Training Program: August 18, 2025 – December 5, 2025
Paramedic: September 2, 2025 – October 20, 2026
EMT: September 2, 2025 – December 20, 2025
Anatomy & Physiology: September 2, 2025 – December 13, 2025
Course Registration Date: July 14, 2025, 8:00am (Classes typically fill up the same day.)
EMT Work-Training Application Period: May 26 – June 15

EMT Work-Training Program
16-week paid, in-person EMT training. No tuition!
Students sign a two-year employment contract with Emergent Health Partners and paid for their time during training.
EMT-Basic Training Program
16-week, tuition-based EMT training program. Online coursework and in-person labs.
Paramedic Training Program
14-month tuition-based program.
Virtual lectures, independent online coursework, and in-person weekly labs.

ACLS, BLS, PEPP, PHTLS, RSI, and Pediatric Medication Administration.
Anatomy & Physiology
A fully online Anatomy & Physiology course specifically for future paramedics.
