STAR OF LIFE

Jessica Hinneburg

Senior Paramedic/MICU Paramedic, Monroe Community Ambulance

Jessica has served with Monroe Community Ambulance since 2012. She started as an EMT and completed her paramedic training shortly thereafter. She has served as a Senior Paramedic, Team Leader, and, most recently, as a Critical Care Paramedic. She has also completed Community Paramedic training and intermittently serves as a CP for Jackson County. While working through her EMS training, she also completed her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.

Jessica is known for being detail-oriented, caring, and always putting her patients first. She continuously goes above and beyond and puts in extra effort, regardless of the situation, supporting her coworkers and fellow first responders. Jessica also spends her time training new EMTs and paramedics as they work toward licensure, helping them refine their skills and supporting their growth. She has developed a great rapport with the hospital staff, and they frequently request her to transport the most critically ill patients. Jessica has a strong love for dogs and recently organized a fundraiser to purchase Guardian Lights for the K9 units of Monroe County. Her compassion for patients and dedication to EMS and the community, and we are proud to call her a Star of Life.
